Originally from Lincolnshire, Joseph moved to Guildford to train on the Acting course at the Guildford School of Acting, and graduated in 2013 with a First Class Honours degree. Whilst at GSA, he was awarded bursaries from the Sir Michael Redgrave Foundation Scholarship and Sir John Gielgud Charitable Trust.

He is an Associate Lecturer at the University of Lincoln and is an audition panellist for Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
